Frequently
Asked
Questions
1
What's your stance on ABA?
Short Answer: We don't have one.
Longer Answer: As coaches, we may help determine if the services are beneficial and how to advocate if they are not. For example, if one feels dismissed by their provider.
As public speakers, we provide a training on ABA, explaining what it is, why it's controversial in the autistic community, its evolution into a more positive direction, and what to look for in a provider. We also cover the autistic signs and symptoms of a detrimental treatment plan.
Regardless of specialty, one can have a negative experience with any service provider, simply be mismatched, or feel that their needs are not being met. Our job is to simply help identify if a service is beneficial, and how to proceed if it isn't, and offer support for that process.

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is a solution-based approach that helps one make goals, create action plans, provide resource assessment and management, give organizational support, and assists in putting self-accommodations in place for one's best success.

Therapy is for feelings, emotional management, mental well-being, trauma, and symptom management.
We may help you connect with a therapist, assess if your current therapist is working for you, and support you through the next steps to access additional resources.
3
Do you take Insurance?
Not at this time. It's rare that insurance covers coaching. We feel that our prices are as affordable and accessible as possible, especially for the amount of information and support one receives.
4
Do you provide medications?
We are not licensed for that.
